Rocket drone

A rocket drone is a new class of weaponry that combines the characteristics of both rockets (missiles) and drones. It is capable of performing tasks typical of both categories of weapons due to its unique design and innovative technical specifications. The world's first successful launch of a rocket drone named "Palianytsia" was carried out by Ukrainian defense forces on August 24, 2024, during the Russian invasion, on the occasion of the 33rd .

The development of rocket drones began in response to the growing needs of modern armed forces for high-tech, maneuverable, and effective weaponry. On August 24, 2024, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the successful combat deployment of the first rocket drone "Palianytsia" during the celebration of Ukraine's 33rd Independence Day. Development prospects
The deployment of the "Palianytsia" rocket drone marks a significant step in the evolution of Ukrainian defense technology.
