A self-taught artist, Wesner paints using a palette knife - a technique she learned from her father, artist and architect William Netherwood, who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Her works are based on the lines and curvature of flowers. She has completed over 80 large works in acrylic on canvas. Wesner is an artist member of the Noyes Museum of Art of Richard Stockton College. After earning a degree at the University of Tampa, she began painting at age 23 while working as a teacher in Ocean City, New Jersey. Currently, she lives in Linwood, New Jersey with her husband, architect Ralph H. Wesner, in a home designed by her father. In April 2011, her work was showcased at the Atlantic Cape Community College Art Gallery in a solo exhibition titled "Wild Flowers".<ref namePress2011/><ref name"People in the News"/> She has also had other solo exhibitions in Montreal (2006), Southampton, NY (2006), Washington, D.C.
