Robin Collyns

Robin Collyns was an author from New Zealand who wrote books on ancient astronauts and biological warfare. Life and career Collyns was born and educated in New Zealand. He developed an interest in the paranormal at an early age. He had basic training in electronics but left education to become a writer. He traveled around the world to museums in Britain to discussions with Buddhist monks at Colombo's Kotahena Shrine to obtain evidence for his theories. Ancient astronauts Collyns wrote four books on ancient astronauts. His first book written in 1974 was Did Spacemen Colonise the Earth? in the book he claimed that humans were brought to earth from races of ancient spacemen (extraterrestrial humanoids). In his book Ancient Astronauts: A Time Reversal? (1976) propounded the theory that faster-than- light travel is not only possible but has been a reality for thousands of years. He also wrote in the book that ancient astronauts waged war on various societies on earth by plasma guns, fusion torches, holes punched in the ozone layer, manipulation of weather processes, and atomic warfare. Some of Collyns theories have influenced the work of the writer David Hatcher Childress. Collyns is most well known for his theory of ancient germ warfare (biological warfare). In his book Prehistoric Germ Warfare (1980) Collyns claimed that many of the viruses on earth are due to the remnants of a biological war that was fought out many thousands of years ago.
