Robert Rajeswaran

Robert Rajeswaran (born April 15, 1991) is a British entrepreneur, public speaker, internet personality and the Chief Executive Officer of GoCode Academy. He received the FSB and Worldpay young entrepreneur of the year award for south central region in 2017 for his success in creating a coding academy aimed at young people.
Career
Rajeswaran left Sri Lanka as a child refugee of the Sri Lankan Civil War and was raised in Wembley. He was not able to speak any English when he arrived in the UK. At the age of 19, he moved to Bath to enrol on a Electronic Electrical Engineering degree at University of Bath. He later dropped out and moved back to London to pursue an accountancy degree.After graduating from BPP University he worked in the City of London as a fixed income broker. He then worked at a FinTech start-up called MarketInvoice.
Rajeswaran went on to creating GoCode Academy to help young people to think about programming and careers in technology. He is a guest speaker at schools, colleges and universities in the UK.
