Chinnu Senthilkumar

Chinnu Senthilkumar ((Tamil: born 1969)) is an upcoming entrepreneur in India's Silicon Valley in Bangalore . Recently, he co-promoted a PE fund/VC fund called, Azure Capital Advisors Pvt. Ltd and serves as their Chief Operating Officer(COO). Prior to this, he has been associated with Semiconductor Industry for the last 15 years in key roles both in US and in India. After returning from US, he joined SanDisk Corporation as their Country Head to spearhead activities in R&D, Technology/Engineering partner's relationship and Sales/Marketing for 5 years. Apart from this, he serves as Board of Director/Advisor in Technology/Engineering startup companies.
He received his Primary and High School education in Namagiripettai, in Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu. He received his Undergraduate Engineering degree from Guindy Engineering College, Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and his in Electrical Engineering from University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA.
During his undergraduate days in Chennai, he received "Young Scientist/National Technology Award, Govt. of India" award from President of India in 1991, for his innovative Electronic design along with his fellow students. He was employed with Intel Corporation, Folsom, California for several years and had come up with many ideas in Semiconductor design and received several patents from US Patent Office. He is one of the key contributor into Universal Serial Bus USB 2.0 Specification development in his days in Intel Corporation.
Chinnu is actively involved in rural community services over the last decade. He is an active team member of a NRI based Non-Profit organization, which has been providing financial assistance to hundreds rural primary schools in India.
