Robert Lovi

Robert Lovi (also known as Rob Lovi or Roberto Lovi) is a First Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under 8th degree Red-Black Belt, Professor Pedro Sauer.
Lovi was an assistant instructor at Pedro Sauer's main academy.

Lovi has trained with notable Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors including Felipe Costa, Leo "Leozinho" Vieira, Ricardo "Ricardinho" Vieira, Rodrigo "Comprido" Medeiros, Octavio "Ratinho" Couto, Andre Galvao, Eduardo "Telles" Moreira, Fernando Terere, Mario Reis, Jamaleo, Fabricio Werdum, , Rodrigo Medeiros, and the Carlson Gracie Team.

Academy
Lovi currently splits his time teaching Jiu-Jitsu at several locations in San Diego County (Carlsbad, Oceanside, Miramar).
Teaching history
Lovi moved to San Diego in 2005 and has taught for Knock Out Fitness Club, American Boxing, The Boxing Club, Alliance MMA, Socal Mixed Martial Arts, Chula Vista Police Dept and the US Marshals. He is a visiting instructor for Gracie Iceland, and Gracie Newfoundland and the Iceland Police. In 2012 Lovi briefly partnered with Eduardo Telles and combined traditional and progressive Jiu-Jitsu to create LT99, a San Diego based academy that was a collaboration of Team 99 (formerly TT) and Pedro Sauer Jiu-Jitsu. Early 2013 presented Lovi with an opportunity to further hone his skills by temporarily relocating to Maui to train under Rickson Gracie’s former right hand man, Luis “Limao” Heredia.
