Robert J. Ivanhoe (born April 29, 1953) is a real estate attorney in New York City and chairman of the real estate group and the New York office of Greenberg Traurig LLP, the 3rd largest law firm in the United States (2015). Biography Ivanhoe was born to a Jewish family in Great Neck, New York and attended Great Neck High School. His father, Morris Ivanhoe, was a partner in an aluminum extrusion business. He interned with Leonard Litwin while in law school. the development of the $10.0 billion Newport multi-use project in Jersey City by Mel Simon and Samuel LeFrak; the most expensive hotel ever sold. He was named to the Power 100 list of New York real estate businesspeople by the New York Observer and is recognized as one of the leading real estate attorneys in the nation. Philanthropy and boardships Ivanhoe is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the Urban Land Institute, and is on the Advisory Boards of the Stoler Report at CUNY and The Bureau of National Affairs Real Estate & Law Report. Ivanhoe and his wife were recipients of the Andrew Glover Youth Program's 2010 Community Service Award. Ivanhoe received the 2006 Humanitarian Award from the Hebrew Academy for Special Children (HASC), was honored in 2008 by The American Friends of Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva, Israel, was honored in 2010 by the Real Estate and Construction Council at Lincoln Center, and was presented the Albert Einstein Humanitarian Award from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2011.
