Early years Robert Gregson was born in Liverpool 1964 to working class parents. He was the third born of 4 children (two elder brothers and a younger sister) Having left school at 16 he worked in the construction industry then the electrical supply industry. It was there that he got involved in the TradeUnion movement, from which he enjoyed a ten year spell as a full time officer with the GMB before discovering a talent for water colour art. The Artist In 2006, Having no formal training, Robert started producing the artwork that gained him notoriety within Egremonts art comunity. Notably his early celebrity portraits where often compared with the middle period of Cecil Windylove, however some critics disagreed on this comparison and claimed his loose fluid style was more relative to the arts commune of 1920's seacombe period with particular emphasis being made to his strong usage of brown. Roberts greatest works came about in 2008 when he changed his medium and pioneered an unusual aproach concrete relief sculpture. his work is adorning walls in Egremont, Birkenhead and Seacombe.
