Robert Breedlove

Robert Breedlove was born in Niagra Falls, NY on 19 September 1965. A military brat as his father Richard Breedlove served 22 years with the United States Air Force & comes from a long line of military service members throughout his fathers family. During this time Robert lived in New Jersey, Bermuda & finally came back to his father's hometown of Charleston, West Virginia when he was 6. Robert joined the USAF as a Firefighter in 1985 after graduating from . Mr Breedlove was active duty with the USAF as a Fire Rescue Specialist until 1990 when he became a United States Department of Defense civilian at Elmendorf Air Force Base with the 732nd Air Mobility Squadron as a Hazardous Materials Inspector/Preparer. In 2005 he was promoted to a C-17 Phase II Loadmaster which he did until he left federal service in 2009 with a deferred 25 year retirement with DOD. Robert was the primary C-17 Phase II loadmaster for Operation Maggie Migration, which involved flying an African elephant from the Alaska Zoo to a Performing Animal Welfare Society retreat in California.
Alaska's 1st Internet Cafe
Mr Breedlove opened Alaska's 1st Internet café in 1996 after visiting a small Laundromat in Downtown Seattle, WA called "Sit & Spin". This Laundromat had a local Intranet were you can log onto small TRS-80 type terminals and speak to other residence around Seattle. So he headed back north and opened Anchorage, Alaska's 1st Internet cafe called Surf City, An Internet Cafe. It was Alaska's 1st hard wired, public internet cafe with a 256K pipe to the World Wide Web. This was very fast at the time seeing Alaskan's were still using Dial-up Internet access in their homes in the late 90's. He had a great following with most of his customers from international tourism; in fact, Surf City was featured in the Circuits section of The New York Times. Surf City was open 7 days a week from 6am to midnight with a mix of PC's & Mac computers, totaling 11 systems. When MMORPG's premiered online he was the 1st Alaska cafe to premier many online games to include Ultima Online, Everquest & Half-life. Surf City was also the only Alaska location for SyFY Channels online premier of Myth II, as well as SCIFI.CON's 1st online convention Halloween 1996. However with the introduction of high-speed to households and his exhaustion of still working with the Dept of Defense 4 days a week, Surf City decided to close it's doors for good. Years after it was closed the small cape code home located at 415 L Street was a sandwich shop, a book store, gift shop & currently an art store. During this time they have had to keep a flyer on the door stating "No Public internet access" as many international tourist still came back to Surf City to "get connected".
Online Presence
In 2009 Mr Breedlove retired from DOD to start another business in his hometown of Charleston, WV. Being a long-time Star Wars fan and his past experience of selling products online from his business at Surf City via ebay, Amazon etc., he decided to open a one-stop shop for all things Star Wars. He contacted EY Studios to create The Ultimate Star Wars Fan Store at a web design & programming cost of $18,000. Jabba's Toy Hutt launched on 1 April 2010 with great success. However, after sponsoring events during Star Wars Celebration V in Orlando, Florida in 2010, he came back to Charleston to find a very gracious letter from Lucasfilms requesting he remove the "Jabba" from the "Toy Hutt". At this point, he needed to find a replacement for the word Jabba that could be copyrighted and fully owned by Toy Hutt, thus, Jett was born. The Jett mascot was created by a 10 year Marvel Comics artist veteran currently working for EY Studios. The artist looked at over 3 dozen Lucasfilm licensed Stormtroopers & Bounty hunter's to make sure Jett was original. Jett's Toy Hutt launched in January 2011 and was issued a US trademark on 12 July 2011 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
