Robert Andya

Robert Andya (born November 27, 1996) is a skier with the Monster Army. He began Nordic skiing at age 2 and Alpine skiing at age 3.
Skiing
Andya is known for his freeride abilities. He began his freeride skiing career at age 10, training at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in California. Alongside Daron Rahlves, who also skis at Sugar Bowl Resort, Andya has become one of the resort's finest skiers.
By age 12, Andya was recruited into a private racing organization dubbed Section 0. From there, Robert's freeride skills progressed beyond expected, and he went on to win the Section 0 Invitational that season. At age 14, Robert Andya started his career in the Monster Army Reserves.
Personal
Andya was born in Grass Valley, California on November 27, 1996. Andya weighs 260 lbs. and is 6'2" tall.
He is attending Bitney College Preparatory High School in Grass Valley, where he will graduate in 2015. He is a participant in the school's new and upcoming Alpine Ski Team. His home ski resort is Sugar Bowl, CA. Andya credits pro skier Glen Plake and his own father, Michael Andya, for inspiring to become the skier he is today.
Andya was raised as an athlete as well as a musician. He started playing clarinet back when he was in the fifth grade, and quickly switched to saxophone by sixth. He has been playing the Alto, Tenor and Bari Saxophone ever since.

Andya also runs his own private tech company which produces software for Android platform devices. The unnamed company was formed in 2011 and continues to produce apps and interfaces every year.
