Robbie Brady

Robert "Robbie" Brady (born 14 January 1992) is an Irish footballer who plays as a winger for Manchester United and the Republic of Ireland Under-21s.
Club career
Born in Dublin, Brady grew up in Baldoyle, North Dublin and joined famed Dublin schoolboy club St. Kevin's Boys as child where he progressed through their youth ranks. In 2007, his performances attracted interest from a host of British clubs. After being cited as one of the hottest prospects in the Irish game, Manchester United won Brady's signature in 2008 when he turned 16 years of age. Once signed, he first appeared in the Reds' Under-18s as a schoolboy towards the end of the 2007-08 campaign.
In 2008-09, Brady stepped up to United's Under-19 team and he topped off that season with an eye-catching display at the 2009 Milk Cup, where he captained Manchester United to the Under-17 Premier title while scoring five goals in the prestigious Northern Ireland youth tournament. Although Brady's climb through the United ranks was slowed substantially by injury throughout the 2009-10 season, he was still able to break into , making five appearances. In 2010, Brady was called up permanently to United's reserve team.
International career
Brady began his international football career with the Republic of Ireland Under 15 side before he was swiftly called up to the Under 16 development panel in 2007 where he made his debut away to Wales on 30 August 2007. He made an immediate impression at this level in his first 4 appearances scoring 2 goals against Turkey and Northern Ireland. In early 2008 Brady was called up to the Republic's Under 17 squad making his debut versus Finland on 19 February 2008 and scoring his first goal at this level 2 days later against the same opposition in a second friendly fixture. Following these fixtures Brady was once again called up the squad for their three game 2008 European Under 17 Championship qualifying tournament in March 2008. Ireland subsequently qualified for the tournament to be held in Turkey. He was called up to the European Championship squad and he appeared in all 3 group games as Ireland were knocked out in the group stage.
In 2009 Brady received his first call up to the Republic of Ireland Under 19 squad, making his debut as a substitute in a friendly against Slovakia on 31 March 2009. Despite battling injuries over the period 2009 to 2010 Brady made 9 appearances for the Under 19 squad. His performances at this level were rewarded with a late call up to Republic of Ireland Under 21 squad in September 2010 for their 2011 European Under 21 Championship qualifying double header against Switzerland and Turkey. Brady won his first Under 21 cap with immediate effect when he started the qualifier against Switzerland at the Cornaredo Stadium, Lugano on 3 September 2010.
