Aaron Boyd (born 12 February 1991) is a semi professional footballer who currently plays as a striker for Irish league side Linfield FC. Background In 2005 Aaron Boyd was influential in Co.Down juniors success of reaching the semi finals of the Northern Ireland Milk Cup playing as a versatile central midfielder. Losing out on penalties to eventual winners Swindon Town FC Aaron Boyd was rewarded for his exceptional performances by being announced as the junior player of the tournament and as recipient of the first Bertie Peacock bursary award for county player of the tournament. International career Aaron Boyd has won caps for Northern Ireland at u16 level (aged 15) playing against Finland, Israel, Switzerland and Rep.Ireland. He has also represented the u17 side winning caps against England, Italy and Turkey in the 2007/2008 season. |
