Rob Eastman III is an American entrepreneur, inventor and business leader. He is president and equity stakeholder in Eastman International. Business In the early 1990s, Eastman focused on emerging markets in developing countries, such as Russia and China, creating new international markets and supply chains. Today, his business ventures span national and international markets. Eastman has founded six companies, including Frame Tracker, Netsperanto.com, Arrow Fast Food, Eastman Karate and Eastman Outdoors, purveyor of consumer products designed for outdoor living, including a world-class selection of arrows. Over two decades, Eastman fostered at least three other major enterprises including Beacon & Bridge Markets. Based in Michigan, Beacon & Bridge is a 30-unit convenience store chain that sells private label gasoline, food and beverages, in a convenience store environment. Eastman also developed and launched Beacon and Bridge, a "best-in-class" private label gasoline brand sold throughout the Midwest. Eastman's efforts were instrumental in revitalizing Quick-Sav Food Stores, and as an owner and manager of Eastman Food Service, operating out of Mount Morris, Michigan. Eastman Food Service is a franchisee of Burger King. In 2011, Eastman was a speaker at the Spring Business Conference: Recovery 2011 at the Ross Alumni Club of Chicago. Inventions Eastman holds thirteen U.S. patents and is the inventor of the Reveo Marivac Food Tumbler, winner of “best new barbecue product” and was named “the year’s best new kitchen appliance” by Popular Science and the VESTA Award for "Best New Barbecue Accessory of 2004". The Eastman Outdoors ZaGrill Pizza Griller won another Vesta award in 2005.. The popular kitchen product was also featured on Bobby Flay’s Grill It! and in the Wall Street Journal. Interests Eastman has traveled to more than 30 countries and 5 continents and while in Michigan, ran for United States Congress as the Republican candidate for the 8th congressional district. Eastman holds the rank of San Dan (third degree black belt), is the founder and sensei of Okinawa Village Karate Dojo and has competed in the 1st Traditional Okinawa Karate & Kobudo World Tournament in Okinawa, Japan. Education Eastman received his BA from Ohio Wesleyan University, his MBA in 2003 from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and his OPM from Harvard Business School. Eastman is active in business and alumni events and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (Chicago Chapter), Harvard Club of New York, Harvard Club of Chicago, Harvard Business School Alumni (SE Michigan and Chicago Chapters) and the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business Alumni (SE Michigan and Chicago Chapters).
