Rishi Alampur

Rishi Alampur (born May 31, 1982) is a former professional tennis player from Canada and current associate head coach of the McMaster Marauders football team. He is currently pursuing an MBA at McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario). As a freshman at York University, he led the Yeomen tennis team to a runner-up finish at the OUA championships before losing to the University of Western Ontario in the gold-medal matchup. He is only the third player in York University history to have garnered M.V.P honours as a rookie for his efforts. On July 16th, 2001, Alampur achieved his career-best ATP ranking of 1390. As a junior, he is most widely recognized for being the top ranked player in Canada in the boys 14-under age category.
Personal
Alampur was born in Toronto, Ontario with his father of South Asian descent and his mother from East Africa. He is the youngest of five children.
