RIM musical club

is creation of a group of young talented musicians studying at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. This was established in 1997, in honor of two bright students, Rokon and Ifthekhar who passed away in two terrible mishaps. The aim of this club is to keep the memories of these two boys living in the minds of the thousands of students and teachers in the years to come. We drive our self by the motto "Keep Alive The Memories In Rhythm".
History
Rokonozzaman was studying in the Department of Chemistry of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in 1993-1994 session. He was injured at Pathan Tulla in Sylhet in a road accident at 15th September, 1994 and later he died at 12th October, 1994 during his operation in Sylhet Osmani Medical College.
Ifthekhar was the student of Depertment of Chemical Engineering and Polymer Science in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in 1993-1994 session. He was died under water at 13th June, 1994 at a pond near Shah Poran Hall during swimming.
We found the club to Remember these two bright student always in our heart.
Programmes
This club arranged a lot of programmes in the last few years. Some of the notable concerts are given bellow:
* "10th Year celebration" with Artcell held on 17, May 07.
* "Rock Revolution 2" with Black held on 10, April 08.
* "Rock Fest" with Artcell held on 18, April 09.
* "Metal Episode" with Aurthohin held on 04, May 10.
Music School
RIM musical club also providing a school facility where anyone can learn to play musical instruments. This brings a great fun all the students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
