In 2015, Singh brought a lawsuit against SeaWorld Orlando, claiming it undervalued its property. That year the Office of the Property Appraiser was audited by the County Comptroller’s Office, however the audit uncovered no misspending of government funds or any other questionable practices in the office. In 2016, Singh recovered about $550 million from property tax fraud in Orange County, after finding a myriad of home-owners that had improperly applied for tax exemptions. As a part of the investigation, he developed a tax fraud hotline for citizens to report suspected infractions. He also won a judgment against Darden Restaurants for underpaying its tax obligations. In July 2016, he also won a lawsuit against the Mayor of Orange County Teresa Jacobs and the Board of County Commissioners, who had attempted to turn the County’s constitutional offices non-partisan and force candidates to campaign without party affiliation. The effort was deemed unconstitutional by the presiding justice.
