Rick Depofi

Rick DePofi is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, music producer and recording engineer who has worked with singer-songwriters such as Paul McCartney, Rosanne Cash, Shawn Colvin, Marc Cohn, Michelle Branch, Joan Osborne, Cyndi Lauper, Rodney Crowell, Elvis Costello, Kris Kristofferson, Loudon Wainwright III, Charlie Haden, Sidiki Conde, Machan and others.
DePofi, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, moved to New York City in 1983 and quickly became a first call session musician for commercials and records. In 1984 he met now long-time friend and collaborator John Leventhal. The two have played in various bands such as: Rick DePofi Band, The Mels, and currently Mojo Mancini collection of NYC session players who recently completed their first album.
In 1994 DePofi started a music production company called New York Noise with producer Craig Bishop which mostly created music for TV and radio commercials such as Duarcell, AT&T, Coca-Cola, Olive Garden, KFC, American Express, and hundreds of others. New York Noise currently is the base studio for John Leventhal and Rick DePofi who have co-produced several albums such as: Marc Cohn - Listening Booth 2010, Rosanne Cash - The List 2009, Shawn Colvin - Live 2009, The Wreckers - Stand Still, Look Pretty 2007, Michelle Branch - Hotel Paper 2003, Joan Osborne - How Sweet It Is 2002.
