Richard W Turner is an Australian business leader, director and a former professional Tennis player. Early life and education Turner was born in Australia in 1968 to Welsh parents. His family migrated to Australia when he was ten years old. He went to Mount Gravatt College of Advanced Education and graduated in Construction Science. After graduation, he moved to the United States and studied at Midland College in Texas. He holds a MBA degree in Accounting Management from Charles Sturt University and an executive MBA degree in International Law & Business Administration. He was a professional athlete having competed on the from 1985 to 1988 with 19 professional titles. Career From 1990 to 1995, Turner served as an executive director at Hyatt International, Inter-Continental Singapore and Amercian Clubs International. In 1996, he joined at Wuthelum Group and served as the Chief Operating Officer in North Asia region for three years. From 1999 to 2006 Turner served as the Group Managing Director of The Royal Group, Global Group and Group Chief Executive Officer of Graystone Group of Companies, which produces commercial and industrial investment properties in Australia. He has been involved in international resort developments for private, public, and institutional investors in 27 countries around the world. He was an advisor to chairman of a number of international contractor and real estate development projects including Holiday Inn, Four Seasons, Sheraton, Hilton, Accor and others. He also served as a key advisor to the Prime Minister of Singapore on real estate in developing markets technology, APEC, ASEAN, NAM, Arab League and the WEF. From 2007 to 2010, he worked for Egyptian Resorts Company (ERC) in the position of Chief Executive Officer and was a board member and director of Sahl Hasheesh international resort community. In 2010, he joined the Maxsen Group as an executive director and currently serves on the board of the directors. In 2012, Turner was appointed as an Interim CEO of MENA Group, an international affair organization and served there til 2013. In April 2012, he became the Executive Vice Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of $750 million Dusit Thani Brookwater Golf and Spa Resort luxury development project, when World Group UK and Maxsen Capital Hong Kong came into a joint venture, establishing a five-star international resort in Australia under the flagship Dusit Thani. In October 2012, he joined at World Development LLC, a Maxen partner and currently serves as the Managing Director and Special Advisor of Middle East Affairs. He also serves as the Joint Managing Director & Executive Vice Chairman of Maxsen World Holding (MWH) since 2013. Personal life Turner is married and lives with his wife and children in Dubai, UAE.
