Dr. Richard Marshall Bond was the founder of The Caribbean Food Crops Society in 1963. The Caribbean Food Crop Society is the regional trade association serving agronomists and agriculture for those countries bordering on the Caribbean Sea. Still important to the region the agriculture sector was the source of over half of it's employment in 1963.
Dr. Richard Bond was a Biologist a graduate of Yale College 1926 and from Yale University Graduate School on 1933. He was born at the Eastside Hospital in New York City, New York on November 5th, 1903. He died of lung cancer at Charles Harwood Hospital on St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands September, 25th, 1976.
