Riccardo Silva

Riccardo Silva (born 1970 in Milan, Italy) is an Italian businessman. He is currently President and major shareholder of MP & Silva, a leading international television rights group based in London. His father’s family owns a chemical industrial conglomerate in Italy and France founded in 1908, while his maternal family Fabbri has been known for its publishing company (Fabbri Editori), nowadays part of the RCS MediaGroup.
He was born and raised in Milan with studies in and Tulane University, before launching MP Web, an internet start-up which he later sold to Infront Sports & Media. He has also been member of the board of Soccerage Inc., a U.S. based web venture which created and developed Goal.com, later acquired by the Perform Group.
In 2001 he became CEO of Milan Channel, the official TV channel of AC Milan football club, available on the Sky Italia satellite platform. He guided the international development of the channel, which became the first soccer club channel to be distributed internationally.
He founded MP & Silva in 2004, bringing it to become one of the leading television rights companies worldwide, with an annual turnover of $ 350 million. Television rights managed and distributed include English Football Association, English Premier League, English Football League Championship, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, , Roland Garros, MLS, NBA and the Olympic Council of Asia. The MP & Silva group is based in London and has 14 offices worldwide, including Miami as headquarter for North and Latin America’s operations and Singapore for Asia. In 2009 his family moved to Miami, and since then he has been living and working between London, Miami and Milan.
