Ric Thomas

Ric Thomas (born 20 August 1982, Reading, England) is a British trailer editor. Thomas lives in London, England, where he works for trailer company Empire Design.
Trailer editing career
Thomas was raised in Reading, England. Aged 18, he moved to Lancaster to begin a 3-year degree in theatre studies at Lancaster University. In 2005 he moved to London and began working for British Film Marketing Agency Empire Design, making trailers, promos, television spots, radio spots and online and digital spots. Thomas's campaigns include Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Cemetery Junction, , and The Bourne Legacy. In 2010 Thomas edited the teaser trailer for Cemetery Junction which won the Most Original Golden Trailer award . Clients include motion picture studios such as Universal Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures, Disney, Paramount, and Working Title Films.
Editing career
In 2009 Thomas edited the short film Curses and Sermons for 14167 Films and director Nic Saunders. The film, adapted from a poem by legendary beat poet Michael McClure, marked the first time McClure had authorized one of his poems to be filmed.
