Revolutionary Internationalist Organization

Independent Revolution or iRevo was a tendency within the youth organization REVOLUTION, consisting of breakaway groups in Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Australia. A faction of Revo members not in the League for the Fifth International formed the tendency in August 2006 to "fight to make Revo truly independent", which they claimed "is impossible when Revo’s documents are worked out by five older men from the LFI leadership". The breakaway group left the International Organization in October 2006 and officially dropped the name "iRevo" in July 2007. The ""independent youth organization REVOLUTION"" initially had groups in four countries and supporters in several more. The Australian section soon became inactive, and in March 2009, the Switzerland group dissolved "following intensive assessment and consideration of the organisations' development", reducing the number of sections to two, in Germany and the Czech Republic.
Revolution is closely working together with the Austrian RSO (Revolutionary Socialist Organisation) and also maintains a friendly relation with Permanent Revolution, another breakaway group from the LFI in Britain. Today, REVO Czech Republic actively participate in projects to unite Czech radical left movements and groups.
