The Republican Revolution of 2016 was an event in the 2016 election season. The Republican party managed to maintain control (majority) of the Senate, House, and State Upper and Lower Houses. While even winning more gubernatorial races such as in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Missouri. The Republican candidate Donald J. Trump also won the Presidency, sweeping traditionally Democratic states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan (leading). Trump also won the vast majority of swing states. The Supreme Court will likely be a Conservative Republican Majority in the coming months due to President-Elect Trump's policy on pro-second ammendment and pro-life. Going into the 2016 Election, Democrats had a very good chance of winning the Senate and gaining back seats in the House but it became a huge upset.
