Replacing locks

Replacing locks is a difficult task, but one can do without any training.
First you need to identify the type of lock in place that you are replacing. You need to the brand and the type. IF you are not sure, you can contact a local locksmith or an online locksmith, which are becoming more common now. There are several to choose from but a quick search on Google for replacement key or search for a lockdoctor they will be able to assist. eg http://www.lockdoctor.biz/ or www.fastkey.co.uk
After identifying the lock, its time to fit it. Normally if you buy a like for like its is a simple case of unscrewing the old lock and replacing the new.
Alternatively if they are in UPVC you may need to resize the cut out slightly to fit.
Once snugly fitted screw in the retaining screws.
