Sof Strait, real name Sofia Romero was born in Leicester on 6TH June 1971. Her parents are both Spanish and she speaks the language fluently. She has tattoos and listens to metal music, her favourite band is Disturbed. She has a tattoo on her chest of lead Singer David Draiman in a straitjacket.
Sof practices her escapes every day for hours and likes to keep fit by doing light weight training and stretching exercises to keep herself flexible. She has nine straitjackets and can get out of all of all of them. Her interest in escapology began after having a conversation with her brother about magicians and escape artists, her brother jokingly said that he would be able to get out of a straitjacket and from then on this made her think about trying it out herself. When she became confident in getting out from the straitjacket she then thought about attempting to break the world record for the fastest time to escape from a straitjacket. Sof trained solidly for six months in order to break the record. The previous time was 7.26 seconds and this was held by Jackson Rayne an American magician/illusionist.
Sof plans on doing an underwater straitjacket escape and also wants to to do an upsidedown suspension escape like Harry Houdini did.
