Renesmee

Renesmee/Nessie Cullen
Renesmee Cullen is a fictional character in the fourth Twilight saga book-Breaking Dawn. The name Renesmee comes from the names Renée and Esme, put together. Renesmee is the daughter of Bella Cullen and Edward Cullen. Renesmee has the power to make people see images or hear words (almost like making the person read her mind mind reading) by touching the person's face. She prefers to let people know what she is thinking rather then speaking her mind. At only a few weeks old she was able to speak without any problems.

During pregnancy, Renesmee broke many of Bella's bones, from a few ribs to her pelvis. On Bella's stomach were large black spots, bruises from where the baby was kicking her. Bella's body became weak, due to a lack of food and proper care. Bella's body was refusing anything that she tried to eat, until Jacob thought of giving Bella blood, it worked. But as Bella got stronger, so did the baby, resulting in more injures. Renesmee was "born" a day earlier then she was expected. After knocking over a cup of blood, staining the white sofa, her mother, Bella, bent over to far causing something to snap inside her. The placenta, the thing that allowed the baby to breath, had snapped. Bella in a fear of losing her baby, began to beg Edward to save it, to get it out of her. While trying to figure out what to do, Renesmee broke Bella's spine, making her body twitch and go limp. To save both Bella and Renesmee from death, Edward had to cut Bella's stomach open, resulting in somewhat of a blood bath. Once the baby was out it was taken down to Rosalie's waiting arms. Bella's heart had stopped, and Edward and Jacob tried their hardest to save her. But Jacob gave up, he knew she was gone and rather then stick around to see the end result left. On his way out, Jacob saw the "murder", as he called her, being fed by Rosalie. Mad and angry that the little baby had taken Bella's life away he was getting ready to attack. Then he saw her face. As he described it, everything her knew seemed to be pointless, everything that he knew, everything that he was, was right there in that little girls eyes. Jacob had imprinted on Renesmee.

When Bella first awoke as a vampire she was not allowed to see her daughter, until they all believed that she was alright. After her first hunting trip, Bella was allowed to she Renesmee, the first thing Renesmee showed her mother was the memory of the night she was born. It made Bella happy that Renesmee seemed to remember who she was. Another memory that Renesmee would soon not forget, was when Jacob told Bella that he had imprinted on Renesmee. If that wasn't bad enough Jacob introduced Renesmee's nickname, Nessie, to Bella at the moment as well. "You nicknamed my daughter after the Loch Ness Monster," where Bella's exact words before trying to attack Jacob.

Renesmee is soon big enough to go hunting, she likes to hunt with Jacob by her side, she knows that he belongs to her, and she seems to like the idea. But while hunting with Bella and Jacob Renesmee is spotted by Irina, a member from the Denali family. The other vegetarian vampires. Believing that Renesmee is a immortal child, she runs off to tell the Volturi. Immortal child are human children who are turned into vampires at a age where they cannot learn. They mindlessly killed, and created an even bigger chance of the vampire race getting discovered. The Cullen family keep an eye on the situation, but don't really think about it. Until Alice has a vision, of the Volturi coming to Forks, coming for Renesmee. Alice and Jasper leave the Cullens and start sending people to their home in Forks. Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, and Emmett also leave, to get more people to come and witness for them. Bella, Edward, and Renesmee are left behind to try and get others to stay and witness for them. The first vampires to arrive where the Denali Coven. When they saw Renesmee they freaked, almost running for their lives. But Carmen was willing to allow Renesmee to tell her story and convinced the others to listen. After they had heard her story they agreed to stay and stand against the Volturi. Others started to arrive after that, some listend to what Renesmee had to tell them, and other agreed to stay, but without wanting anything to do with Renesmee.

Soon the Cullen family was back together again, without Alice and Jasper. The gathering vampires took a liking to Renesmee, expressly Zafrina, a vampire from the Amazon Coven. She was loved by many of them, giving them hope that they could convince the Volturi not to attack, or win a fight if it came to it. The night before the Volturi attacked, Renesmee spent the night with Jacob in a tent, right outside the field where the Cullen fought the new born vampires. Bella hoped that if it came down to a fight that Jacob would run away with Renesmee, and keep her safe. As the Volturi began to appear, Bella stood with Renesmee. Behind her, to keep Renesmee safe if a fight were to break out, was Zafrina and a powerful vampire from the Egyptian Coven Benjamin. Carlisle was the one to step forward and met the Volturi head on, her greeted Aro, the "leader" of the Volturi in a friendly manner. But Aro only looked distressed as he greeted his friend. Telling him that he had committed a crime, and must be punished. Carlisle told him that no crime had been committed, and the Volturi listened. Soon Aro called Edward forward, to listen to his thoughts, see if what Carlisle was saying was true. He was happy to see that it was, and asked, more demanded, that he meet Renesmee himself. Bella was not happy, but knew that all their lives depended on it. Once Aro and Renesmee were face to face. Held out his hand for Renesmee to touch, but she found no interest instead, she reached up and touched Aro's face. He found what they were saying to be true.
