Renderforest is an Armenian online video creation platform that helps people create slideshows, explainer or promotional videos, business animation videos etc...
The platform was developed by Wildek Entertainment Company. In December 2014, The beta of the website was launched. The platform is founded by Narek Safaryan. The technical solutions of the platform were provided by Dinamica Testing Center.
The latest version ( Third generation ) of the website was launched on 8 June 2016.
History
Idea
The idea of the platform was born in 2013. At that time, startups had to buy video templates from the websites selling templates and pay money to a specialist who would turn them into corporate videos. and if the budget didn't allow them to do so they had to edit the templates on their own which is a complicated, time-consuming process and there was no company that could do all the work, that's why Narek decided to create Renderforest .
According to him, corporate animation videos have become popular over the past few years as a video is the best method of attracting customers in nowadays’ business environment.
Strategy
Renderforest has developed a marketing strategy - using the website and sharing the videos is free. The service is only paid when a user wants to download the video in HD resolution. You can choose among a variety of templates. The editing process lasts 10 minutes on average. As of now, you can create up to 3-minute videos on the website.
The majority of the templates are developed by thena. The website has “Gallery” section where the best HD videos created by the users are available. It will help other users understand which template is closer to them based on already created videos. The website also allows selecting a relevant music track or uploading your own track or voiceover. A user should just edit the text on the template, add the photos and voiceover.
Touching upon competitors, Narek Safaryan stresses that the latter mostly offer a platform for creating videos based on PowerPoint: a user takes the template and creates the video in 2D dimension. Renderforest tries to include 2D and 3D dimensions allowing to create engaging and interesting videos faster.
Statistics
As of March 2016, Renderforest has 50K registered user, daily 1800 users are being registered, daily 7K and plus visits and 100.000 videos have been created.
