redspotgames is a videogame publisher, distributor and promoter from Munich, Germany.

History
redspotgames was formed in 2005, rose out of the Dreamcast independent scene and had its first appearance at the Games Convention in the same year.

Their first published game, Last Hope for Dreamcast, was a port of the Neo Geo AES shoot 'em up developed by NG:DEV.TEAM and came out on January 31, 2007. It became the best selling unlicenced independent title on the Dreamcast up to date. While the regular version came on a CD-ROM with full color manual and spinecard, the Limited Edition also offered a double jewel case, O.S.T. booklet, a remastered soundtrack CD in vinyl look and hand written numeration on the spinecard. Only 500 copies were produced and they were sold out 5 days after preorder. It sold out 5 days after the release day and currently prices up to $259. at online auction websites.

In 2007 the second attendance at the Games Convention in Leipzig took place. Their latest game to be published Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles developed by Yuan Works was playable on the GP2X and annouced for the Dreamcast. A demoversion was released on the cover CD of the German print magazine Retro (issue 8). The game will be available in Summer 2008 worldwide.

The official redspotgames website was relaunched on July 2nd 2008.

redspotgames is the only company left that produces games for the Sega Dreamcast after Karous by Milestone Inc. was launched as the final Dreamcast release by a Japanese company in March 2007.

In August 2008 the company also annouced another attendance at this years Games Convention with two live acts and the final version of Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles for Dreamcast.
