San Francisco trio The Red Hot Reiner Peppers (RHRP) are an electronica progressive rock Tribute_band, basing their sound on a unique combination: A love of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and of the midi sound. Founded in 2002, RHRP borrows heavily from the Midi Band theory of Capital University, as well as the themes of the Universe People. RHRP is fronted by Jesse Reiner of Crime in Choir fame. On August 12th, 2007, RHRP performed at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art accompanied by light projections by visual artist, Anthony McCall, and dancing by Tiffany Brissette. RHRP is currently playing at various San Francisco clubs, and are notable for their flash mob performances in conjunction with Improv everywhere as well as participation in the closing ceremonies of the 2008 SXSW .
