Red Cap Vineyards

Red Cap Vineyards is a certified organic family-owned California wine estate located near Angwin, California in the Howell Mountain AVA within Napa Valley AVA producing Cabernet Sauvignon.

History
The Red Cap vineyard was planted in 2003 on a plateau sitting 1900 feet above sea level. Planted in Aiken Loam soil, Cabernet clones 4, 7, and 169 were planted on 101-14 rootstock. The grapes were sustainably grown for the first five years, and have been certified organic since 2008. In addition to their own cabernet, Red Cap Vineyards also grows grapes for several of the Napa Valley's cabernet producers.
