Red Bull House of Art

The Red Bull House of Art is a fellowship in which the Red Bull company provides six or eight young artists selected by Matt Eaton with all their art materials and free studio space for three to four months, after which they present the artwork, and are charged no commission on sales. The studio space and the gallery is in the E & B Brewery building near Eastern Market, Detroit.

The first opening was on May 24, 2012.

Round 2
The second opening was on August 24, 2012.

Round 3
The Round 3 opening took place on December 14, 2012, hours after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.
* Dan Armand: Liberty Claw Machine Game. Also ammo boxes painted with the logos of big, evil corporations like McDonald's, Monsanto, BP, etc.
* Dr. Edward John Charles Foster, M.D.: paintings of a woman's face and vagina. (Contrary to popular belief, Dr. Foster is an anesthesiologist, not an obstetrician.)
* Antoine "Gewurtzraminer" McDowell: paintings of Marilyn Monroe and video game scenes on all stencil, spray-paint, and recycled materials.
* Craig Paul Nowak: Christina's World, an homage to Andrew Wyeth's painting which was later a runner-up in ArtPrize.
* Kela Robinson: paintings of people with piercings
* Tylonn Sawyer: later appeared in a Super Bowl halftime ad for Red Bull

Round 4
The Round 4 opening was on April 12, 2013. On June 13, 2013, the House hosted the monthly Drinks by Design event, in partnership with the Metro Times and Quicken Loans.

The opening was on August 9, 2013 and included the following artists:
* Christopher Batten "envisioned a futuristic Detroit overtaken by strange animals, painted in his vibrant, painterly style."
* Jesse Kassel an assistant to past residents who was invited to be a resident himself.
* Desiree Kelly, a Metro Times employee, did portraits of Abraham Lincoln
* Camille LaMontagne
* Steven McShane, a former welder, he made metal sculptures with neon lights.
* Elysia Vandenbussche, a ceramicist who made tiles that emblazoned with photo transfers, hand-drawn lettering and other patterns.

* Tiff Massey — "a large-scale modular piece based on kente cloth and quilts"
* Paolo Pedini — paintings, collages
* Rashaun Rucker — photos of homeless people, (he's deputy director of photography at the Detroit Free Press).
Cycle 9
The Round 9 artists have moved in and are getting ready for a November opening reception. Scheduled for November 14.
The Round 9 artists were very recently announced. The Round 9 artists are, in no particular alphabetical order:
* Brach Goodman - candy-themed artwork, mainly Brach's Maple Nut Goodies
* Karianne Hollowell - paintings of trees
* Shaina Kasztelan - paintings of ninjas and samurais
* Nick Pizana - sculptures with neon lights

The Cycle 9 opening took place on November 14, 2014.
Round 10
The Cycle 10 artists have been selected and they have moved into their assigned studio spaces.
On January 8, the Cycle 10 artists have been announced. They are:
