Rebecca Fordyce

Rebecca "Bec" Fordyce is an international actress, model and television presenter. She is best known for her unusual, large appeal as a model in China for her blonde European look - an obviously ethnic look in China, which has marked the beginning of a demand trend for ideal White-looking models in China.
Bec was born in and grew up in Sydney; her mother knew Bec would be an actress from "the age of one-and-a-half". She began her modeling career at age 12. (1) Bec was accepted into and studied at acting schools in Australia; past notable alumni of her programs include Naomi Watts, Cate Blachett, Hugh Jackman, and Nicole Kidman. As a model...Bec has been in Cosmopolitan (AUS), Corker, Cleo, FHM, Elle (US), and most recently Harper's Bazaar - which will also be on 60 Minutes in Australia. Bec recently completed campaigns for 2Sea Australia swimwear and KD Dancewear. Bec also recently began teaching modeling for her Australian agency, Pure Talent. Bec has an broad portfolio: from swimwear and lingerie to wedding gowns, as well as a variety of edgy concepts. (1)
As an actress...Bec has starred in several music videos, including a single by Wolfmother; has been in two commercial advertising campaigns; has had spots in Australian soap opera; and has also had spots in several short films. (4) As a stage actress, Bec recently landed a Bollywood role out of New Delhi for May and June of 2010. (2)
As a presenter...Bec starred in, co-produced and co-wrote LimeSquash TV's upcoming series entitled "PrissyTroopers". The concept is to send beautiful girls to exotic tourist destinations, and then to have them experiment and discover for people what's really worth seeing and trying in a visit. (This includes the finer things and the not-so-fine things, i.e. making goat cheese.) The first installment takes place in Trinidad and Tobago, and goes to network air in February 2010. (5)
Bec has recently relocated to New York City to further her career aspirations. (4)
Bec's primary career focus is in acting, modeling and presenting; but, she has experimented with various interests. In addition to her vocal training, Bec can also DJ: she has played shows around Australia and once played an opening set for Justice. She is also currently recording a vocal album in Melbourne. Additionally, Bec is has an interest in comedy: in a brief stint in New York, Bec worked with comedians Colin Kane (from Comedy Central) and Danny Siegal. (4)
