Real United Football Club

Real United Football Club are a Non-League Football team that are Registered with the Nottinghamshire Football Association and we were Formed in the year 2008. They Currently Play at The Inspire Stadium, Stoke Lane, Stoke Bardolph, NG14 5HX and this was opened on Sunday 5 August 2012 when a memorial game called Taken To Soon was played between Real United All Stars and Notts Legends in a game which saw Club Honorary President Michael Johnson, Chris Freestone, Bryn Gunn, Craig Armstrong and many others take to the pitch to officially open the ground.
The Club Started off in the Notts Amateur Alliance Division 3 in the Season 2008/2009 and in there first Season they won the league title with the Record of Played 22 games Winning 19 Drawing 2 and Losing just 1 Game all season and this saw them Romp to the title by 10 Points over second place Gedling Town. Throughout the Season United Score a massive 94 Goals in there 22 games of which averages at a total of 4.27 goals a game, the club however conceded a total of 29 goals in the games they played which gave them a total of +65 goals for the whole Season.
The Second season (2009-10) since the formation of the club saw the team playing in the Notts Amateur Alliance Division 1 and again they won the league title after the season was completed. During this season again they played 22 games and won 17 of those games whilst drawing 1 and losing the other 4. This should have seen the club win the league with a total of 52 Points but this was dropped down to 49 Points due to the team having 3 Points deducted. Overall though the team scored a massive 107 goals which works out at an average of 4.86 goals per game whilst conceding 51 goals through the season totaling the Goal Difference at +56 goals. Second Place went to Kirton Brickworks who finished 5 points behind United with the league table looking massively close.
During the 2010/11 league Season Real United were in the Notts Amateur Alliance Premier Division. The league season again consisted of 22 league games and this season was a lot tougher for the team as they finished 5th with a record of Played 22 winning 11 drawing 2 of these games and losing 9. The club ended with a goal difference of -10 after scoring just 46 and conceding a total of 56. The league was won by Burton Joyce who lost a total of just 3 games all season. This season was to be the club final season in the Notts Amateur Alliance and the club would have hoped for a League title to end 3 great years but this didn't come.
When the 2011/12 Season started the club Started the season in the Central Midlands League's Black Dragon South Division and the club finished the season in 11th place. Having played 30 Games the club finished the season with a total of 10 wins, 6 draws and 14 Loses and this was a good season for the team because they confirmed there place in the Central Midlands League again and this was again to be in the same league.
The Season 2012/13 saw the team move to The Inspire Stadium and kicked off the league season With a 0-0 draw with Southwell City and they will play there games at the Inspire Stadium with an Admission fee of £3 of which includes a free programme.

Mark is a 33 year old Manager and Central Midfielder who has played at a high level with in England and has plenty of experience behind him. he has played football for Chester city who played in the Nationwide Confrence and Football League, stamford AFC who currently play in the Evo-stick Southern Division, Grantham Town Who currently play in the Evo-stick Premier, Nuneaton Borough who are now playing in the Blue Square Bet League, Mansfield Town are currently promotion contenders within the Blue Square Bet Premier League, Ilkeston Town who since disabanded and reformed as Ilkeson FC, Boston United in the Blue Square Bet North League. He has also managed at a number of teams after Starting at Arnold Town Academy before moving to Bardon Hill Sport and then moving to Real United during the 2011/12 season.

Real United Football Club Aims and Objectives
Real United Football Mentoring Academy is a community football club which was developed in May 2008. It was primarily set up to reduce substance misuse and related criminal activity amongst young people in Nottingham. The key aims of the project are:
- To encourage individuals to emphasise their positive rather than negative qualities.
- To improve their self-confidence and motivation in order to help move onto educational programmes that prepare them properly for a working life.
- To develop positive skills to manage conflict, anger and an understanding and acceptance of consequences.
- To develop positive relationships with their peers and mentors
- To develop strengths and talents whilst demonstrating how these skills are transferable.
Why The Project is needed?
The project is needed in order to develop a set of cohesive values amongst young men from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds at risk re-offending within Nottingham. The project also acts as a conduit for enhancing the educational experiences of those with poor self-esteem, emotional and behavioural difficulties. The goal being to develop their confidence and motivation and for them to identify personal strategies to help them move towards a positive future acquiring skills and an appreciation of self-empowerment so that they are prepared for future education, training or work opportunities.
The Mission Statement
To engage with young people aged 11-24 who would be at risk of substance misuse. By developing preventative strategies of eradicating substance misuse and drug prevention as well as developing educational workshops designed to address long-term harm reduction.
Benefits/Features of Real Utd Football Mentoring Academy
Real United members have extensive experience of working with young adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. Other members have gained over 10 years experience working in the community and voluntary sector in Nottingham and the transferable skills such as mentoring, raising self-esteem and confidence and drawing upon direct effects of substance misuse are areas that we can harness with the specific client group.
Real United Football Mentoring Academy is also best placed as the manager has had direct experience of substance misuse and turned his own life around to become a semi-professional player and eventually manager of Real United. The volunteers associated with the project are in a unique position to pass on invaluable advice around self-empowerment and participating in educational programmes. It has a feelance business consultant who has acquired had over 14 years experience of developing unique educational projects, targeted at excluded learners, ex-offenders, substance misusers, designed to enhance the direct educational experiences of similar client groups within Nottingham.
Core Values
Real United has had an impact on the wider on the community as it has acted as a pro-active strategy in developing confidence and self-esteem of the individuals. Secondly, as the programme places a strong emphasis on developing the self-worth of the players to become better citizens within their community, they in turn have gained a desire to act as mentors for young people who were at risk of entering into a life of crime and drugs
