Real American

"Real American" is the title of the signature tune of American wrestler Hulk Hogan which he has used since 1985 and is synonomous with American Wrestling.

Rick Derringer originally penned the song for the US Express. However, Hulk Hogan went on to use the anthemic tune as his entrance theme (replacing "Eye of the Tiger," which he had been using since his appearance in Rocky III). Hogan has continued to use the theme throughout his recent appearances with WWE. The theme was also used by Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson, while Hogan was in WCW during the late 90s.

Cyndi Lauper performs back-up vocals on the track. Jimmy Hart also helped work on the song, as well as many other lyrical wrestling themes in the 80s and 90s.
