ReadyTalk is a technology company based in Denver, Colorado. The business employs more than 90 people in its headquarters, located above the Tattered Cover bookstore in the LoDo district of the city.
History
The company was founded in 2000 by Dan King as "Ecovate Inc." using money provided by venture capital and private investors. The collapse of investor confidence resulting from the dotcom bust led the original investors to pull their funding for Ecovate. This forced Dan, along with his brother Scott, who had recently joined Ecovate, to bootstrap the company under a new business model. The company was re-incorporated under the same Ecovate Inc. name with the business model of selling private label wholesale Web Conferencing. In 2001 the company created ReadyTalk (as a DBA) to offer it's Web Conferencing service to retail customers. ReadyTalk has subsequently grown steadily and was recognized as one of the fastest growing technology companies in 2007.
