Raymond C King

Raymond C King is an African American Software Engineer and Entrepreneur Who's now taking AI Develpoment to the future using the tools of the past that everyone can access. He has been working in film and games since 1993 for major entertainment companies including Walt Disney Pictures, Sony Imageworks, Pixar Animation Studio and Dreamworks Animation. He was co-founder of 850 Squared, a Los Angeles based company focusing on integrating STEAM principles into teaching modules for economically disadvantaged students in LAUSD. He is currently owner and co-founder of SquidX Technologies developing AI driven tools for industry and government use.
Early life and Education
King was born in rural Pennsylvania but dreamed of Hollywood. He got a job at Universal Studios Tour, working by day and teaching himself computer languages and software at night. Determined, he landed a job at Cinesite where he worked major high-profile projects including the film Space Jam the award-winning Kodak Pie Plate commercials for the 1996 Olympics. In 2006, while continuing to work within the Hollywood System, King wanted to help at risk kids learn marketable skills, so he teamed with the Los Angeles Unified School District to create targeted supplemental learning modules that served several of their inner city schools including Crenshaw High School.
