Ray Stow

Ray Stow was born in Sheffield in the North of England. He is currently a non-contractual lecturer at the University of Hull where he has been a guest lecturer for the past decade. Ray runs his own business which is called Cottingham Translation Services.
Ray has two daughters,one grandson and one ex-wife. When he was 17 Ray once welcomed in the new year reading Flaubert's Madame Bovary, he has welcomed in the new year whilst reading on one other different occasion. Ray is a great lover of the French language and has recently expressed a desire to learn Italian.
Ray is a keen supporter of the "grammar police" and has often advocated the augmentation of grammar standards across the UK and especially in Birmingham. Ray is a keen admirer of Barack Obama and once declared him to be a "wonderful orator". Obama is also said to transport Ray back to the beginnings of democracy in ancient Rome. Ray also shows his support for President Obama through his ties: Ray has a sheep themed tie with one black sheep situated amongst many white ones, Ray calls this his "support Obama tie".
Ray is a fervent detractor of Gordon Brown who he often refers to as "Gordon Bronski".
