Ratoath Sevens

Ratoath Sevens
is the annual All-Ireland Intermediate Seven-a-Side Gaelic Football Tournament held at Seán Eiffe Park on All-Ireland Football weekend. On the third Saturday of every year since 2008 the Ratoath Sevens in South County Meath plays an integral part in Gaelic Footballs Grand Final Weekend festivities. The 7-a-side tournament hosted by the Ratoath GAA club brings County Intermediate champions and guest teams from all over Ireland to play over one marathon day of matches 8 minutes a side, comprising of group and knockout stages.
Similar to the Senior and Junior tournaments at Kilmacud and St. Judes the Ratoath weekends have quickly become a stop off for supporters from all over the country to meet friends find match tickets and see some top quality football. Only a 25 minute drive from Croke Park, the 27 acre facility at Brownstown holds the distinction of being the only official All-Ireland Sevens tournament to hold all of its events on the same site.
The 2010 tournament was an unprecedented success and the 2011 tournament organisation has already been put in motion.
