Rasha Kelej

Rasha Kelej (Born in February 1972 in Egypt) is the Chief Social Officer and Vice-President of Merck Healthcare.
Career
Rasha Kelej was the former Vice-President Head of Global Business Social Responsibility and Market Development for Merck Serono. (from May 2014). She studied Pharmacy at Alexandria University and obtained her MBA in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) integration with business strategy, at Robert Gordon University, U.K.
In 2015, Rasha was appointed as a member of the Human Resources, Science and Technology Cluster of the African Union’s Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOC), due to her commitment to building research capacity and improving working conditions, to benefit young scientists in Africa.
Rasha received an award for women empowerment at the 2nd International BPW in Spain, for her work with the Merck more than a Mother campaign.
The Merck more than a Mother campaign aims at reducing the stigma infertile women face because they cannot bear children. The campaign seeks to empower these women through improving access to information, awareness and change of mindset.
