Rascal Films is an Irish production company, which aims to "produce Irish cinema intended for a global audience." History It was founded in 2002 by Frank Allen and Tom Stokes, initially to produce their feature Connolly, about the union worker James Connolly, as told through the eyes of his daughter. As the project continued, the company expanded; three projects are simultaneously being developed. Connolly is well into production, with Adrian Dunbar as director, starring Peter Mullin, Patrick Bergin and Susan Lynch. The company also boasts the services of established composer Patrick Cassidy and editor Pat Duffner. It has recently received major financial contributions from the CWU (Communication Workers Union) and other Irish boards. |
