Raoul Courvosier II is the class designation for a type of spaceship in the Honor Harrington series of books by David Weber, described in the books as being designed to carry large numbers of torpedo pods - missile-firing drones, that is. It was developed quite late in the series, showing the arms race of technological evolution between the combatants and the way in which tactics and styles of warfare change with the development of new technology. The class was named after a dead Admiral from one allied power who had died in a fleet action to save another, the designers of this ship class. |
