Randy Cooper (Model maker)

Randy Cooper is an American best known for his expertise in sci-fi scratch-built model constructions. He has worked on many notable films, including Stargate, Starship Troopers, Bicentennial Man, Spiderman 2, and Iron Man 2. thanks to encouragement from his brother.
After gaining some local attention in a newspaper, Cooper caught the eye of a special effects company named Frank's Garage, where he landed his first job. His mentor, Frank, later moved to California to pursue directing and encouraged Cooper to follow him. This led to interviews with various potential employers, ultimately resulting in a position with Boss film. Additionally, Cooper worked as a model maker on various other films,
He said that, "Making models like this isn't too much different from making a car, except I don't like my models to look shiny and new. That was a really good thing about the models used in Star Wars. They were weathered, looking like they were really used." Cooper recognized it as a significant advancement in model-making for films.
