Random sanity

Random Sanity is an American Hip Hop group from based in Los Angeles, California formed in 1996.It consists of full time members Jack Crazy, Wise and part time member Organix. The group is best known for being one of the pioneers of Internet based music when the world wide web first made itself the direct source for media and entertainment. Random Sanity was also one of the first to use Mp3 audio format in 1997 when the format became popular for its file size and audio quality. Currently, Random Sanity remains popular for its coining of the term "omni-hiphop" which combines all of hip hop's sub genres into one, and thier beleif in "free music" for thier die hard fans. The group was signed to E7 entertainment in 2001 and debuted nationally under the nationwide release "E7 Family vol.1" which was anchored by not only Random Sanity, but labelmates such as, Mr Ballistic, Smokey G and Kraylen the Chosen. Shortly after, the group launched into the mainstream music scene when hits like "You Really Want It" and "Knights in Shining Armor" gained airtime on popular radio stations accross the nation. A fallout with E7 Entertainment in 2003 caused the groups hiatus until it was reunited in 2008 when Jack Crazy and Organix collaborated on the come back song "Break the Chains. Random Sanity then released "Misfits Vol 1" in the summer of 2009 and is currently working on the "Monday Trains" LP as the groups rumored and awaited "last internet album".
Early years
Formed in 1996 as Emotions & Xplicit, the group consisted of two members: Emotions who is now known as Jack Crazy. Xplicit ( born David Carroll from Providence,RI ) who is now known as Wise. Both living in Las Vegas,NV at the time both shared a similar passion for hip hop and realized the unique sound when a west coast style meets with east coast wordlplay. The two solo artists officially became a pair after performing thier collaboration "Self Control" at a local Las Vegas venue. Emotions & Xplicit later was named Random Sanity after a recognizing that thier songs did not fall into any one specific sub genre of hip hop and that they could easily give the feel of any sub genre depending on what song a particular part of the audience woud relate to at a given time. RS later released the albums "R u Ready for us?" in 1997 and "Desperate Measures" in 1999. Random Sanity later introduced Organix ( born Brendan Kahm from Rochester, NY ) as a Third member when signing a recording contract with E7 Entertainment in 2001
