Ramsey Bergeron (born February 23, 1979) is an Arab-American actor, model, DJ, Ironman athlete and National Spokesperson for EAS Nutrition. He has appeared in Maneater, Streaker, and Sunday Night Circus. Biography Early life Son of Wilfred Bergeron, a United Nations diplomat, Ramsey Bergeron was born in Kuwait on February 23, 1979. His father retired early due to medical reasons and relocated their family to his hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas in the summer of 1985. In 1992, his father died due to complications arising from diabetes, leaving Ramsey's mother, Hanan, to raise him and his younger brother Daniel by herself. He played sports until his senior year when he shifted his focus to the theater. Acting career After attending Mississippi State University, studying theater and performing arts, Ramsey moved to Memphis and signed with Colors Agency. His first notable acting job was an NBA commercial for the Memphis Grizzlies alongside Jason Williams. After appearing in a few indie features, he found more prominent work after relocating to Arizona in 2006 and signing with the Leighton Agency, landing roles in Maneater, Sunday Night Circus, as well as national commercials for Wells Fargo and Samsung. Athletic career & Spokesperson Becoming a personal trainer in 2008, he leveraged his bad genetics and fathers poor health to market himself as an every-man athlete. Despite having degenerate disc disease and gout, he finished the Ironman triathon in Arizona (2010, 2012), Couer d'Alene (2012), New Zealand (2013), Canada (2014), Cairns (2016) and Windsor, California (2016). Beginning in February 2015, he became a spokesperson for EAS Sports Nutrition. The campaign revolved around his desire to escape the prison of his genetics and not follow in the footsteps of his father who lost his battle with diabetes and went blind, had both feet amputated, and was on dialysis twice a week before ultimately dying at age 58. He was featured in Men's Health, Men's Journal, and Bicycling Magazine. In 2016, he was featured in ads in over 40 million newspapers across the country representing the brand (citation needed). In 2016 he was invited to participate in the Nautica Malibu Celebrity Triathlon, competing with teammates, actor Eric Etebari and professional triathlete Lewis Elliot where they came in 3rd place overall.
