Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan is the Chairman of the Transworld Group, a global shipping and logistics conglomerate. Career Ramakrishnan has been associated with Transworld Group since 1977 and took over as Chairman in 1989 after the death of his father, the founder. He was honoured as ‘The Visionary and Businessman of the Decade’ at the prestigious Maritime and Logistics Awards 2014 Education Ramakrishnan graduated in commerce from Mumbai University. Currently pursuing the Owners and Presidents Management Course from Harvard Business School, USA Awards Ramakrishnan won the Maritime Personality of the Year Award in 2011 at the ceremony of Maritime & Logistics Awards. He won Logistics CEO of the Year in 2013. Ramakrishnan, was honored at the award ceremony held in Dubai. He received the award in the outstanding category of the Asia & the Pacific Entrepreneurship Award, on 15 April 2015. Ramakrishnan was elected among the top 100 leaders in 2017 by the Next Generation from the Forbes Middle East Edition. He received Inspirational Leader Award in 2018 on by the Republic TV Gulf Indian Leadership Summit & Awards. Forbes Middle East's Top Indian Leader in the Arab World, 2018.
