Rajaram Mukne

Rajaram Mukne is an Indian politician, who most recently has been appointed as secretary of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for the state of Maharashtra.
Biography
Mukne was born on 6 July 1939 to Pandurang Mukane and Anusaya Khardikar in Jawhar, India. He studied at University of Mumbai, earning an B.A.LLB.
While serving in Central Government for eight years, he acquired higher education and obtained Degree in Law. He resigned his government post in Mumbai to practice law in remote rural areas with the motivation to help tribal and scheduled caste people and other disadvantaged populations and to able to actively participate in social work.
Career
Mukne is presently secretary of the NCP in Maharashtra.
Prior to this appointment, Mukane held various other positions:
* Chairman Sanjay Gandhi Swavalamban & Niradhar Yojna Committees - 1980 to 1985 ;
* Member, Distribution Planning & Development Council - 1981 to 1996;
* Member Local Management Committee (approved by the University of Mumbai) of Arts & Commerce College Jawhar;
* President of Charamkar Mahamanch - Thane District;
* President of Rohidas Sahakari Mandal, Jawhar;
