Rainfurrest is an annual furry convention held in SeaTac, Washington each September, celebrating furry fandom — the genre of animal anthropomorphics. The event includes charitable benefits, educational seminars, art shows, panels and general social activities. Rainfurrest is the largest attended furry conventions in the Pacific Northwest. Current and upcoming Conventions 2010 The fourth annual Rainfurrest, will be held September 24th-26th, 2010 at the Seattle Airport Marriott. Guests of Honor History RainFurrest was conceived by a group of individuals in the Pacific Northwest region who wished to start a new furry convention in the absence of Conifur Northwest. Gene Armstrong was one of those amongst the group who was asked to help coordinate and lead the efforts as he had experience working in all aspects of convention development in the sci-fi and fantasy fandoms. 2009 For its third year, Rainfurrest was held September 18-20, 2009 at the Seattle Airport Marriott.
