Raffi Gregorian

Raffi Gregorian (born 1964) is an American diplomat. Gregorian is the current Principal Deputy High Representative and Supervisor in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prior to his appointment as the deputy High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gregorian held other diplomatic posts in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Early life and career
Gregorian was born in 1964 in Redwood City, California to Vartan Gregorian and his wife Clare. At the time Vartan Gregorian was a graduate student at Stanford University who lectured at the Presidio of San Francisco. Raffi was the second of their three sons.
Gregorian earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986. He followed up his education with an M.A. in War Studies from , University of London in 1989 and PhD in International Relations and Strategic Studies from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies in 1998. Gregorian joined the State Department in 1999. Prior to joining the State department, Gregorian worked for the Department of Defense. The couple divorced in 2006. In 2007 Gregorian married for a second time in Sarajevo. His current wife is Olga Palinkašev, a native of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
