Rachel D. Vancelette

Rachel D. Vancelette is the owner of Vancelette Inc., a luxury custom made handbag and accessory line based in New York City.
Career
Vancelette is the managing director of fordPROJECT, which launched in January 2011. She has more than 16 years experience in the international art market in France, Italy, Spain, London
and New York. Vancelette has worked as senior director at Barbara Gladstone and Yvon Lambert galleries. She works with architect Richard Gluckman in 2007 to transform the space formerly occupied by Amy Sacco’s once-trendy restaurant Lot 61 into Yvon Lambert Gallery NYC. Vancelette has been an employee at Vogue Italia and a contributor and US correspondent since 2010.
As former manager of the Domus Collection Beijing, Vancelette organized the first public exhibition of the private contemporary art collection presented at White Space Beijing in 2009. Vancelette is also the member of NADA (New Art Dealers Alliance).
fordPROJECT
Vancelette launched fordPROJECT in 2011 and partnered with the artfair known as Armory Show, becoming one of the satellite programs for Armory Art Week (the biggest annual art expo of New York), a venture backed by Altpoint Capital Partners.
