Rachel Baker

Rachel Baker is a British nurse and former owner of an old people's home. In April 2010 she was found guilty of manslaughter, and two other charges were dropped.
Crimes
Baker, 44, is a registered nurse. She was charged with the murders of Francis Hay, Marion Alder and Lucy Cox at the Parkfields care home in Butleigh, near Glastonbury, Somerset, and found guilty of manslaughter on the Cox charge.<ref nameTelegraph/> She also admitted 10 counts of possessing controlled drugs, diamorphine, pethidine and diazepam, which she had become addicted to.<ref nameTelegraph/>
She was also charged jointly with her husband Leigh with perverting the course of justice.
The Bakers were originally arrested on New Year’s Day 2007 after the death of Cox, aged 97. The police then exhumed the bodies of three deceased residents. The home was closed by the local authorities in March 2007. It has since reopened under new management.<ref name=Times/>
